SPORTING GOODS SALES ASSOCIATE
Mel's Sport Shop is looking for an energetic, trustworthy, and self-motivated individual to become part of our team. Candidates should be hard-working, honest, reliable, and able to work weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a welcoming manner
- Help customers select products
- Answer customers' questions
- Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Process payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards
- Assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise
- Work with multiple vendors
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-year experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills to give the team direction
- Previous experience in apparel buying a plus
- Knowledge of hunting and fishing is a plus
- High School diploma or similar
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service
