Job Title: Digital Community Engagement Specialist

Location: Honolulu, HI

Contract Role: 12 Months

Onsite Role

Part time role 20 hours per week

Job Summary

Responsible for managing daily engagement across HDLE/DLE digital platforms to strengthen audience interaction, community trust, and public responsiveness. Oversees monitoring and moderation of comments and messages, addresses public inquiries, escalates sensitive issues per protocol, and fosters positive online community relationships. Tracks audience sentiment and engagement trends, supports recruitment and youth-focused outreach initiatives, and provides insights and analytics to inform content strategy and continuous improvement.

Primary Focus: Audience interaction, community trust, responsiveness

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day engagement across HDLE/DLE digital platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
• Monitor comments, messages, and public inquiries; respond appropriately and escalate sensitive matters per agency protocols.
• Foster positive community relationships, trust-building, and transparency through digital channels.
• Track audience sentiment, engagement trends, and emerging issues.
• Support recruitment and outreach efforts, particularly targeting Gen Z and younger audiences.
• Provide engagement insights and feedback to inform content strategy and creation.
• Assist with analytics related to community growth, reach, sentiment, and engagement quality.
