Seeking a professional experienced in developing and establishing a finance department from the ground up for a non-profit organization. The Controller will provide strategic and operational leadership for the church’s financial health, ensuring stewardship, transparency, and alignment with the church’s mission.
This role oversees all financial activities, including budgeting, accounting, reporting, payroll, and compliance. The Controller develops and manages financial policies, prepares regular financial statements, and partners with church leadership to support long-term planning and decision-making. This individual ensures proper internal controls, manages the annual audit, and supervises finance staff or volunteers as needed. The Controller works closely with ministry leaders to allocate resources effectively, offering guidance on financial implications of programs and initiatives.
