Context

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong broker-dealer operations expertise to support a large-scale back-office subledger migration from a legacy internal platform to a leading vendor solution.

The consultant will serve as a key liaison between Operations, IT, Finance, and the Vendor , ensuring operational readiness, testing coverage, and comprehensive documentation throughout all migration phases.

You will represent the Operations department in all conversion activities, helping to define requirements, validate workflows, and support data and process migration for cash equities, listed options, and asset servicing .

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as the Operations representative across project and vendor meetings
  • Produce clear documentation: business requirements, testing plans, and executive summaries of key deliverables
  • Support the development of the chart of accounts and accounting feed mappings
  • Design and execute detailed test scripts covering:
  • Trade capture & settlement
  • Asset servicing
  • Regulatory reporting (e.g. Reg Sho, short interest)
  • Security & account masters
  • Cash / position reconciliations (system vs clearinghouse vs ledger)
  • Shadow output validation for accounting feeds
  • Contribute to migration strategies and operational playbooks
  • Update existing operating procedures to integrate the new system.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in broker-dealer operations : equities, U.S. options, clearing, custody
  • Excellent understanding of trade lifecycles and DTCC / OCC workflows (TradeSuite, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in system migration / conversion projects
  • Working knowledge of how OMS platforms interface with back-office and accounting systems
  • Proficient in writing clear functional documentation and test cases
  • Familiarity with Broadridge Shadow or similar back-office systems is a strong asset
