Job Description

About the Job:

Tillotson Design Associates is looking for lighting designers of all experience levels at its New York City office. The successful candidates will work on a variety of project types and be involved in the complete design process from schematic design through construction administration. Tasks will include conceptualizing design ideas, CAD and Revit drafting, AGI lighting calculations, 3D Studio and Photoshop renderings, InDesign presentations, physical model construction, lighting mock-ups, meetings and presentations, fixture specifications, focusing and detailing.

Required Skills & Experience:

2-10 years of experience as an architectural lighting designer

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Theater, or Lighting Design with a basic understanding of architectural lighting

AutoCAD - 2D drawing skills

AutoCAD - 3D model creation

AGI32 experience a plus

Sound knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign

MS Office Suite

Revit/BIM experience required

3D Studio Max experience a plus

Vray a plus

LightStanza and Rhino a plus

Competencies:

Ability to manage multiple project schedules and deadlines

Be organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in creative problem solving

Ability to work independently and in a collaborative and team environment

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Ability to communicate in English effectively
